Please read the following information carefully, particularly the section on lesson fees and our missed lesson policy.
Your signature on the registration form assumes acceptance to all policies and procedures that Separk Music holds regarding the lesson studios. Please contact Separk Music if you have any questions concerning the following information:

Term of Study

In the fall and spring semesters, which roughly coincide with the school year, you will have one lesson a week for fifteen weeks. The time and day agreed upon at the beginning of the semester will be your regular lesson time.

During the summer there is no regular lesson schedule. Instead, lessons are purchased in packs of six or more with flexible days and times dependent on the teacher's and student's schedule. Various summer camps are also offered in the summer. Please refer to the section titled "Special Programs" for more information.

Tuition and Fees
Registration
Separk Music requires a registration fee of twenty five dollars once per school year for each student. This fee is included in the entire semester price. Separk offers a waived registration fee for families enrolling three or more children into lesson studios.

Payments
Separk Music offers several payment options for your convenience. You may choose a single, double, or triple payment plan for the spring and fall semesters. You may also choose Separk's School Year Program. When you enroll in Separk's lesson program for either the semester or school year session, you are committing to the entire semester or school year program whether or not you attend your lessons. This is necessary because we have set aside studio space, time, and reserved a teacher for you for the entire session.

Payment is required before the first lesson can be scheduled. Payments should be made per the payment option you indicated on your registration form. Students who are on a payment plan will be automatically billed via the credit card they provided on the registration form. A declined card will result in a twenty five dollar fee that is not refundable for any reason. Should you need to provide another card for your payment plan, it is your responsibility to notify Separk Music before your payment is due. Fees will be pro rated for students who enroll in lessons after the semester has begun.

The following payment plans are available in both the fall and spring semester sessions. Please indicate the option you prefer on your registration sheet.

All single payment plans should be paid before the first lesson is scheduled. For double and triple payments, the first payment is due before the first lesson is scheduled. The second and third installments will be processed on October 1st and November 1st in the fall, and on February 1st and March 1st in the spring.. You are committed to make your second and third payments even if you do not attend your lessons. For students on the school year plan, installments will be due on the 1st of every month.

Separk's School Year Plan.............................................nine installments of $100.00
The School Year Plan is available for all half-hour lesson students. This program, which runs from September to May, consists of 35 scheduled lessons. The first payment, a total of $150, will also include a $50 deposit, which will be applied to the ninth installment. Should a student cancel before the school term ends, that $50 will be forfeited and is not refundable for any reason.

Returned Check Fee
There is a twenty five dollar fee for all returned checks. The returned check fee, along with the billed amount, must be paid in cash within ten days of student notification.

Account Balances
Account balances must be paid in full before a student may register for the next semester.

Attendance
Student Absence

There are no refunds given for missed lessons. If you will be absent from a lesson, please notify Separk Music as soon as possible (preferably 24 hours in advance), at (336) 723-0794, so that we may notify your instructor. A teacher may choose to make up one missed lesson per semester as a courtesy to the student at a mutually convenient time, but is not required to do so.

Teacher Absence
If a teacher cancels a lesson, the lesson must be made up at a mutually convenient time. Should the student cancel a makeup lesson, that lesson will be forfeited and will not be rescheduled, nor payment refunded for any reason.

Withdrawal before the first lesson
Should a student choose to withdraw from the lesson program before the start of the first lesson, he or she must do so within forty-eight hours of the first lesson. If you do not cancel within forty-eight hours of your first lesson, you will be charged for the first lesson, and no refund will be given for the registration or processing fees.

Holidays
Lesson studios will operate on all holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and the Fourth of July. Studios are also closed for WSFC fall and spring breaks.

Inclement Weather

If the studios are closed due to inclement weather, all students and teachers will be notified as soon as possible. These lessons will be rescheduled.

If the studios are open, but you feel you cannot get to your lesson safely, please notify Separk as soon as possible.

Trial Lessons
A one-time trial lesson is available to prospective students. Payment for a trial lesson must be made before it will be scheduled. Payments for trial lessons are not refundable for any reason.

Performance Opportunities/Recital
A recital is scheduled for the end of each semester. Student participation is encouraged and teachers are expected to work on recital pieces with each of their students. Participation in the recital is optional, but it is a great way for students to show what they have learned to their family and friends.

Special Programs
During the year, Separk may offer special camps for orchestra, band, or woodwind students who wish to study in a group setting. These programs must be pre paid and are not refundable once a student has registered. Please see a Separk staff member for information on upcoming sessions.

Summer Lessons
During the summer months Separk offers flexible lesson packages to meet your scheduling needs. Lessons are available in four-packs or six-packs. If you must cancel a lesson you may reschedule it at a later date, providing you give at least a 24 hour notice. If you do not cancel your lesson within 24 hours, that lesson will be forfeited and will not be rescheduled, nor will it be refunded for any reason.
