String Instruments Repaired On Site String Instrument technician, Billie Feather, is highly skilled in the maintenance and repair of all orchestral strings, guitars, and stringed folk instruments. Billie apprenticed under John Podich, currently the National Sales Manager of Glaesel/Scherl and Roth Orchestral Strings. She began her interest in woodworking and repair at the age of 8 while tinkering in her father's wood shop. While studying as a classical guitarist at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Billie attended master classes in guitar repair with many of the most prominent technicians of America's Southeast. She specializes in complete string instrument restorations for both orchestral instruments and vintage guitars, as well as set-up modifications for folk instruments. Billie's ability to reconstruct badly broken instruments has earned the respect of local private teachers and school educators. Our string shop is a full service repair facility, including bow rehairing. Please inquire for estimates and rates. Band Instruments Repaired On Site Robah Ogburn of Oggie's Band Repair is a skilled repair technician, working with all brass and woodwind instruments. His son, Chris, has worked along side him for the past 2 years. Robah apprenticed under Dale Barton, instrument repair technician for the U.S. Army Field Band. He began working for Separk Music Company in 1991 when the business was still owned by Mrs. Separk and he has been on site, in the building connecting to the main store for a little over 3 years. Oggie's Band Repair now has the only Ultrasonic brass metal instrument cleaner in Winston Salem. It provides a fast, more effective, and environmentally safe solution to service repairs and overhauls.
