Madelyn Sealey is currently a student of Dr. Tadeu Coelho at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Outside of school, she studies with French flutist Nicolas Duchamp, who attended the Paris Conservatory. She has 12 years of experience playing the flute, during which she has placed in several local and statewide competitions. For the past two summers she attended the Trentino Music Festival in Italy to play under the direction of Maestro David Jackson of the Metropolitan Opera. She hopes to continue her flute studies following her graduation later this year, while maintaining a studio she can share her love and knowledge of the flute with.
