Education: A proud graduate of UNCSA’s High School Division, Thomas dedicated a total of four transformative years to his musical education. Immersed in the guidance of Professor Ilika, he not only mastered the technical intricacies of the trombone but also cultivated a profound understanding of musical expression.
Accolades and Achievements: Thomas's musical prowess has been recognized on national and state levels. During his high school years, he placed in both the All-State Honors Band and All-State Jazz Band. His exceptional talent and dedication also earned him a place in multiple national-level honors.
Accomplishments of Students: As a testament to Thomas's effective teaching approach, his students have achieved notable success. Several have earned spots in the All-State Honors Band and All-State Orchestra for consecutive years (2022, 2023). Additionally, his students have excelled in the All-State Jazz Band in 2019 and 2023. One student was even awarded a merit scholarship in 2023 for their accomplishments during Cannon Music Camp 2023 summer at Appalachian State University.
