About Us

Drew Parker purchased the business from Bee Separk in 1995. With an eye to the future he transformed it from selling only printed music to providing the inventory selection we carry today. His experience and connection in the music industry allowed him to access instrument and accessory lines and also expand the print music available. The move from 4th Street in downtown Winston Salem to Lewisville in 2011 provided easier access for customers. As a former band director, Drew understand the needs of both the music educator and the families whose children are part of those school programs. Drew serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music.

Supporting Our Community

Because we believe that Music is a lifelong activity, our business is designed to serve the needs of both beginners and professionals, regardless of their age or experience. Thousands of accessories, hundreds of music titles, a music studio program with 22 on-staff teachers and a busy repair shop that works miracles every day - this the essence of why Separk Music should be your family’s music store.

Belief in Education

Parents of rising 5th graders come to us for advice and a quality instrument to get their child started on their musical journey. High School families count on us when their child is ready for that “college level” 2nd instrument. Our rental programs for both student and step up instruments keeps those transitions within budget.
